<p>„Was braucht man, um Campermöbel zu entwickeln, die haargenau ins Fahrzeug passen, sicher an der Karosserie befestigt werden und durch unsere Kunden leicht aufgebaut werden können? Ja, richtig: ein Faible für Holz, gute Nerven, Ausdauer und kreatives Um-die-Ecke-Denken. Kommen da noch ein Meistertitel im Schreinerhandwerk, über zehn Jahre Erfahrung im Ausbau von Yachten und Campern sowie der gewisse Blick für’s große Ganze hinzu, habt ihr eine ziemlich gute Beschreibung von Edgar.“</p>

<p>Seit 2023 ist Edgar Grüner mit seinem Startup vanilla.engineering unterwegs und steckt sein umfangreiches Fachwissen in die Entwicklung der neuartigen vanilla.parts. An den Designs und Konstruktionsplänen tüftelt er in der Regel am Rande der Dresdner Neustadt. Getestet und verfeinert wird dann in einer professionell ausgestatteten Werkstatt in Frankenberg bei Chemnitz. Dresden ist somit Hauptquartier und „Kinderstube“ für sämtliche vanilla-Ideen, die später in Vans und Kastenwagen auf Weltreise gehen.</p>

<p>Und warum eigentlich vanilla? „Ganz einfach“, erklärt Edgar: „Denk mal ans Eis. Vanille ist eine solide Geschmacksrichtung: zuverlässig, einfach, du weißt, was du bekommst – ohne viel Schnickschnack. Gleichzeitig ist Vanille aber auch die geniale Basis für richtig guten Geschmack: mit Frucht oder Schoko, Nüssen, Streuseln, Sauce – you name it. Und so ist das auch bei vanilla.engineering: Wir bauen für dich die optimierte Basis, du verfeinerst, ganz wie es dir gefällt.“</p>

Das Main Bed besteht aus einer fest verbauten Liegefläche von 70 cm Breite x 200 cm Länge, welche auf der Fahrerseite montiert wird. Mittels eines Schiebemechanismus kann die Liegefläche auf insgesamt 130 cm x 200 cm vergrößert werden. Darunter gibt es reichlich Stauraum für Technik oder Utensilien.</p>

<p>Zur Schlafenszeit wird durch den Schiebemechanismus die Breite des Ducatos optimal genutzt (bei angrenzender Kitchen- und Storage-Zeile), während tagsüber genügend Fußraum zum Bewegen und Öffnen der Schränke bleibt.</p>

Im Stil eines Hochbettes montierst du das Kids Bett auf einem Bettrahmen an den Seitenwänden deines Fahrzeugs. So entsteht etwa 60 cm unter der Fahrzeugdecke eine Liegefläche von 130 cm x 174 cm, welche genügend Platz für bis zu zwei Kinder bietet. Auf einer Diagonale von 210 cm findet hier aber auch ein Erwachsener entspannenden Schlaf.</p>

<p>Das Kids Bed wird in Fahrtrichtung quer im Fahrzeug verbaut. Als besonders praktisch erweist sich die smarte Steckverbindung am vorderen und hinteren Bettrahmen. Diese kann bei Bedarf auch ohne Werkzeug gelöst werden, sodass Lattenrost und Matratze einfach abgenommen werden können und die volle Raumhöhe nutzbar wird.</p>

Außerdem bereits eingeplant ist die Vorbereitung für deinen Kühlschrank oder deine Kühlbox. Die Türen sind fahrtüchtig gesichert, sodass Besteck, Zutaten, Geschirrspülmittel und Co. immer an Ort und Stelle bleiben.</p>
